The river today reached ideal temp and flow for schoolie stripers and the bite did not disappoint. A school of stripers was found in the lower cove gorging on smelt. Small, dark jigs produced a couple dozen of our striped friends up to 27″ this morning. Shad bite for both hickory and American was also productive today. With a cooling trend coming this weekend we’ll be set up for a great bite for another few weeks.
