March 31, 2015 – Rockfish Fever

Sunrise this morning brought with it the most fish activity on the upper tidal Potomac so far this spring. What was intended to be an exploratory trip turned into three stripers and a walleye, all caught vertical jigging Quillback Jigs.  The water temperature rebounded from the cold weekend and reached 50º this afternoon, the warmest it has been all spring.  The river is primed, a couple warm days and we’ll be in the thick of it.
